When it comes to rock and concrete removal, it can be hard to escape the noise, fumes, toxic debris, and jackhammer headaches. Introduced as a quieter alternative, Ecobust is designed as a sustainable choice for demolition jobs of any size – DIY or professional – and presents no danger or harm to surrounding environments. Ecobust is a non-toxic powdered mixture of naturally available minerals designed to expand and exert thousands of PSI on rock or concrete when combined with water. The process is simple. Drill holes 8” to 16” inches apart to 80-90% of the rock or concrete depth. Pour in the recommended mix of EcoBust, and wait 24 to 48 hours for the material to expand, forcing the rock or concrete to split apart from the interior pressure.
The product is available in four different product types to guarantee performance reliability based on the job's size and the core temperature of the rock or concrete being demolished. Pail tops are color-coordinated to allow easy selection at the store or online.
Suggested applications for Ecobust include demolition of reinforced concrete, foundation slabs, piers, bridge beams, retaining walls, and boulders. Expected markets for the EcoBust technology include construction and remodeling, road building, mining, and stone quarrying.
“Nothing blows up and there's zero noise pollution,” said David McNamara, president of Ecobust. “This is a fast, simple, easy, safe rock and concrete removal product. It works while you're doing other jobs, resulting in increased productivity and reduced labor costs across the board.”
