Proves Tougher than the Incredible Hulk.
And greener, too…
Before earning a supporting role in construction sites across America, Ram Board became a backstage favorite in Hollywood action movies. Film crews used Ram Board to protect the sets of high-energy action flicks such as Armageddon, Spider-Man, The Hulk, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Ram Board caught on in Hollywood because it provided superior protection, could be rolled out in a hurry, trimmed up neatly with a box knife, and re-used over and over again. That becomes a big advantage when a studio is filming on location in public buildings or in people's homes. The product moved into general construction when an architect inquired if the material was breathable; if so, he'd be interested in using it on some of his current projects - which happened to include new stores for Krogers and WalMart. Now Ram Board is used extensively in commercial and residential projects throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Ram Board can protect new or existing concrete, stone, tile, wood, linoleum, vinyl composition tile (vct), epoxy, and most other floor types. It is vapor permeable, which allows concrete to cure through the board. The thick (46-mil), tear-resistant product will greatly outlast traditional solutions such as rosin or kraft paper. Supplied in 38” by 100' rolls, Ram Board lays out flat and can be taped into place on the jobsite. It's made from 100% recycled material, with a minimum of 90% post consumer. It's reusable, and that helps contractors save money on the job.
LEED Credits
With its 100% recycled content and proven LCA performance, Ram Board rates as a very sustainable floor protection solution. The product can contribute points towards LEED certification via MR Credit 2.1 and MR Credit 2.2, and also contribute an additional credit (MR 5.2) for projects within 500 miles of this California manufacturer.
