Formaldehyde free fiberglass insulation
EcoBatt Glasswool Insulation from Knauf uses the Ecose bio-based binder rather than a conventional petroleum one, so it is free of the phenol compounds, formaldehyde, acrylics, and artificial colors typically found in traditional fiber glass insulation. EcoBatt is approved by GREENGUARD for Children and Schools and it is also certified to meet CHPS Low-Emitting Materials criteria section 01350.
Quick-apply stud installation strips
Anyone who has ever seen thermal imagery of a home insulation system has been struck by how the studs themselves are the worst thermal transmitter in the wall. But one thin ¼"x 1.5" strip of Thermablok™ added to the stud's edge can increase the insulating performance by over 40%, according to U.S. DOE test results. Thermablok is "Class A" fire rated, and is also mold resistant. The product comes with a simple pull and stick adhesive backing for easy, clean installation.
